About this tool

Counting and the alphabet, one connected dot at a time

Connect the Dots is the classic game of joining a sequence of numbers or letters to reveal a hidden picture, a perfect exercise for young children practicing counting and alphabet recognition. Pick the numbers mode (1, 2, 3…) for kids learning to count, the letters mode (A, B, C…) for kids learning the alphabet, or the no-hints mode, which is harder: dots appear unlabeled and the child has to figure out the order from the emerging shape. Tap or drag a finger from dot to dot: getting the order right draws the line instantly, and a wrong tap only gives a gentle nudge, never a penalty. Once every dot is connected, the picture is revealed with a small celebratory animation. There is a varied collection of pictures, from simple houses and stars to more detailed butterflies and cars, drawn without repeats until every picture has had its turn.

How to use

Pick a mode and start connecting

  1. Choose numbers, letters, or no hints, and the picture difficulty level.
  2. Tap (or drag your finger) from dot 1 all the way to the last one, always in order.
  3. Finish the picture to see the reveal, then use "Next picture" to keep practicing.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

In numbers mode, dots are labeled 1, 2, 3… helping kids who are still learning to count. In letters mode, dots are labeled A, B, C…, great for practicing the alphabet. In no-hints mode, dots show no label at all, and you have to work out the order by watching the shape take form, a tougher challenge for older kids.
