A watermark designed to be removed protects nothing. This tool places the text or logo as a normalized point inside the image, between 0 and 1 on each axis, which guarantees the on-screen preview and the full-resolution exported file show the exact same position, and the difference between a decorative mark and one that resists cropping sits in the options you pick, not in the mere fact of having a mark.
Legible and discreet, but it only covers a small area of the image, easy to crop out.
Cropping any part leaves a visible hole in the composition, because the mark covers the entire area.
The logo's scale is relative to width, so it keeps its proportion across images of different sizes.
A watermark does not create copyright, that exists from the act of creation, but it makes misuse harder, identifies authorship and discourages copies. It is a practical deterrent, not absolute legal protection.
Only partially: it discourages casual use, but a single corner mark sits in a small, specific area of the image, and a simple crop removes exactly that area without editing anything else. Tiled mode, which repeats the mark across the whole surface, is what actually makes removal hard.
The tool's default is 0.6 (60%) with a black outline, a middle ground that keeps the mark legible over both light and dark backgrounds without fully covering what sits behind it; lower values prioritize the image, higher values prioritize protection.
By turning on tiled mode: it repeats the mark at a -30 degree diagonal, the classic angle for this kind of protection, with adjustable density from 1 (sparse) to 10 (dense).
Yes: the tool accepts an "image" mark type alongside "text", with the logo size controlled as a fraction of the image width (25% by default) instead of a font size.
White text disappears on a light photo. An outline or shadow keeps the mark readable on any background.
The watermark is applied entirely in your browser. No image is sent to any server.
