Pick random numbers between two values, with or without repeats
This generator draws whole numbers between the minimum and maximum you set, negative values included. You choose how many numbers you want (up to 1000 at a time), whether they may repeat and how the result is shown: draw order, ascending or descending. To avoid modulo bias, a common bug in homemade generators, we use rejection sampling with crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's cryptographic generator, ensuring every number in the range has exactly the same probability. When repeats are off, we apply a partial Fisher–Yates shuffle over the pool of possible values, which returns unique numbers without any duplicate. The whole draw runs locally, sending nothing to a server, and a history lets you compare results from different generations.
Many homemade generators take a big random number and apply the remainder (modulo) of dividing by the range size. The problem is that this hands slightly more probability to the first few numbers, the so-called modulo bias. To eliminate it, this tool draws a 32-bit integer with crypto.getRandomValues and discards the small band of values that wouldn't fit the range evenly, retrying until it lands in the "fair" band. That way every value between the minimum and maximum has strictly the same chance.
When you turn repeats off, the method changes: instead of drawing and hoping for no duplicates, the tool builds the full list of possible values and shuffles only the first few with the Fisher–Yates algorithm, pulling each chosen number out of the deck. That is why the requested quantity can never exceed the range size, you can't draw 10 unique numbers from a range that holds only 6 values.
Example 1, two dice: set minimum 1, maximum 6, quantity 2 and keep repeats on. Each number is drawn independently, so results like 4 and 4 are perfectly possible, exactly how rolling two real dice behaves.
Example 2, drawing winners: to pick 5 winners among the numbers 1 to 100, set minimum 1, maximum 100, quantity 5 and turn repeats off. The tool returns 5 distinct numbers with no coincidences, and you can sort ascending to check the list at a glance.
It's handy for raffles and prize draws, picking a presentation order, deciding who starts a game, generating data for tests, simulating dice and cards, or building lottery combinations (minimum 1, maximum 49, quantity 6, no repeats, for a 6/49-style game). The history and the sort option help you compare and record results.
Two reminders: each click on "Generate" is an independent draw, so the no-repeat option only applies within a single generation, separate generations can coincide by chance. And although the generator is unbiased, no draw changes the real odds of games of chance: the lottery is still luck, and a fair generator does not improve your chances of winning.
