Categories, also known as Stop or Adedonha in Brazil, is the classic party game where a random letter is drawn and every player has to write, on paper or their own phone, one word starting with that letter for each category in the round (name, animal, color, country and so on) before time runs out or someone shouts Stop. This version draws the letter and the categories with `crypto.getRandomValues`, using two independent no-repeat decks that only reshuffle once fully exhausted: one for letters (with an option to include the rare K, W and Y for a harder pt-BR round) and one with over 70 different categories. You choose how many categories are in the round, whether the timer is set (60, 90 or 120 seconds) or the round ends on the traditional Stop shout, and you get a ready-made scoring table: tap each cell to mark whether a player's answer was valid and unique (10 points), valid but repeated by someone else (5 points), or invalid (0 points). The scoreboard and round history are saved in your browser. The app never types or validates answers for you, players still write them on paper or their own phone, exactly like the physical game. It's in the same family as Scattergories, the word category party game, though under a different name and ruleset here.
Draw, write and race the clock (or the Stop shout)
- Choose how many categories are in the round, the timer mode (timed or shout Stop), and optionally add the players. Tap "Draw letter and categories".
- Each player writes, on paper or their own phone, a word starting with the drawn letter for every category, until time runs out or someone taps STOP!
- Share your answers out loud and use the scoring table: tap each cell to mark a unique answer (10 points), a repeated one (5 points) or an invalid one (0 points), then add the points to the scoreboard.
