Same category it would have at age 70: the "normal" band does not change across adulthood.
blood pressure chart by age
It is common to search for a "blood pressure chart by age" expecting a different number for each decade of life, the way cholesterol or ideal weight charts work. But for adult blood pressure, the official chart does not work that way: the same bands (optimal, normal, prehypertension, stages 1 through 3) apply to any adult, from 18 to 100. This page opens the calculator with a 120/80 mmHg reference reading.

Still "normal", the same risk band. What changes with age is how common hypertension is across the population, not the individual classification threshold.
Systolic (the higher number) is the pressure in your arteries the moment your heart contracts and pumps blood. Diastolic (the lower number) is the pressure between beats, when the heart relaxes and refills. Both are measured in mmHg and shown together, like 120/80.
They usually mix two different things: population data (the average pressure measured in people of each age, which does trend upward over time) with the risk classification chart (which is fixed for adults). Those are different pieces of information, the population average for an age bracket is not the "normal blood pressure" threshold for an individual of that age.
Below 18. Enter the age in the optional field, and if it is under 18, the tool shows a warning instead of applying the adult table, recommending a pediatrician's evaluation instead.
This calculator is an educational tool. It does not replace a doctor's evaluation, should not be used to adjust hypertension treatment on your own, and a single reading is never enough to diagnose anything. If you have symptoms (chest pain, shortness of breath, vision changes, trouble speaking), seek medical care immediately.
Quick tip: measure while sitting, with your arm resting at heart height, after at least 5 minutes of rest and without having had coffee, smoked, or exercised beforehand.
Blood pressure within the range considered normal for adults.
An estimate of the average pressure in the arteries across a full heartbeat cycle.
The difference between systolic and diastolic.
