Under CPC/2015, procedural deadlines are counted in business days (art. 219), excluding the start day and including the end day. The contestation deadline (15 business days, art. 335) is critical: missing it implies default.

Deadline counting rules

The deadline starts on the 1st business day after the service date (CPC art. 224 §1). Business days exclude weekends, national and state holidays, and court recess.
If served via DJEN (Res. CNJ 455/2022): availability → publication on next business day → deadline starts on the 1st business day after publication.
