60 s video, remove 10 s to 25 s: 60 minus 15 s removed; re-encodes.
remove a section from the middle of a video
Pick Remove it, drag the handles over the unwanted part and the timeline hatches it in red. When you play, the preview skips the marked section, so you hear and see the result before cutting. On confirmation, the two ends are joined with no gap and no repeat.
60 s video, remove 10 s to 25 s: 60 minus 15 s removed; re-encodes.
Removing 0 s to 12 s becomes an ordinary cut, which accepts fast mode.
Removing 40 s to 60 s also becomes an ordinary cut.
With 10 s to 15 s removed, the 15 s frame moves to 10 s: the clock goes back 5 s, the section length.
An audio packet that starts at 9.99 s and lasts 20 ms ends at 10.01 s, inside the section, and is discarded so it does not cause an overlap.
Removing the whole video leaves nothing; the tool asks you to shrink the selection.
Pick the file and mark the start and end on the timeline. The trim runs in the browser, on your device's own processor, and the result is built in memory and downloaded directly. No byte of the video goes through a server, which also means there is no upload queue and no upload limit.
Each run removes one section. To take out two, build the edited file and load it again to remove the second. Work from back to front if you want to keep the times you noted, because removing the later part first does not shift what comes before it.
The picture does not, because frames are only repositioned in time. What can happen is a jump in content, since the scene before and after the section was not recorded in sequence. Choose cut points where the action is similar so the join feels natural.
Because every frame is decoded, repositioned and compressed again, while fast cut only copies data. The time grows with duration and resolution; the progress bar shows advancement and an estimate of what is left, and the Cancel button stops the work.
Trimming happens in your browser. The video is not sent to any server.
