Changelog entry.
Applies to desktop and mobile.
SearchAction is still valid schema.org.
No. Google recorded on 2026-05-08 that the FAQ rich result stopped appearing from 2026-05-07 and removed the documentation on 2026-06-15. FAQPage remains valid schema.org and other consumers may use it, but do not count on it to win space in Search. HowTo went the same way: its result was removed on 2023-09-14.
It is not mandatory. The markup remains valid and is not a penalty. If maintaining it costs time, it is reasonable to stop updating it and keep the visible question section, which is what helps the reader.
We did not check how the test behaves. Use the schema.org validator to check syntax and the Google search gallery to see what still earns a feature.
None replaces the format. The gallery has Q&A and Education Q&A for specific question and answer cases, but they have their own requirements that this tool does not generate.
