minecraft modern house block palette
The tool opens in Complementary mode with white concrete and calm textures on. A modern house wants smooth surfaces, few tones and strong contrast; the list below shows what is left once the noise is removed.
The two dark ones are the accent (10% and 5% suggested).
Glazed terracotta (noise 19) and birch log (17) appear.
The middle is polished tuff (#636965).
A gray without a strong hue also falls back to lightness contrast.
Start with a base block and ask for similar ones: blocks with a close average color (a good rule of thumb is a distance below 0.03 in OKLab) make a cohesive palette. Then add an opposite-color accent with Complementary mode. Use 3 to 5 blocks and prefer textures with similar noise.
Black concrete (#080a0f) is the flattest, with noise 0. The coal block (#121111) and blackstone have texture and work better in small details, such as frames and thin roofs.
Because white concrete averages #cfd5d6, around 87% lightness in OKLab (L 0.87), far from pure white. The iron block (#dddddd) is slightly lighter and neutral, and serves to add brightness to trim.
Only for clean styles like modern. In rustic builds, busy texture is part of the effect. The filter hides blocks with noise above 10, which removes, for example, glazed terracotta, gravel and several logs.

The percentages are our suggestion of how much of each block to use (the 60/30/10 rule), not a game rule.
Average colors of Minecraft Java Edition 26.1 textures. In OKLab, a Δ below 0.02 is barely noticeable.
