minecraft nether brick palette
The tool opens in Similar mode with nether bricks. In the Nether there are three shades people mix up: the near-black of the bricks, the mid red of netherrack and the vivid red of red nether bricks. The list shows how far each sits from the others.
The first three sit within 0.01.
Noise of 5 to 7 on the natural blocks.
No neighbor closer than 0.06.
Start with a base block and ask for similar ones: blocks with a close average color (a good rule of thumb is a distance below 0.03 in OKLab) make a cohesive palette. Then add an opposite-color accent with Complementary mode. Use 3 to 5 blocks and prefer textures with similar noise.
Chiseled and cracked bricks, within 0.01, and then black terracotta and black concrete powder, which work as contrast. Cherry wood also sits close (0.048) and brings a dark pink tone.
Not much: the distance is 0.062 to the chiseled ones and 0.067 to the regular ones, well above the 0.02 that goes unnoticed. Use the red ones as a contrasting detail, not mixed at random into a wall.
You can, and the palette is for that: ask for Similar from a Nether block and leave the default families on. The copied list brings the ids to grab from the creative inventory or with /give.

The percentages are our suggestion of how much of each block to use (the 60/30/10 rule), not a game rule.
Average colors of Minecraft Java Edition 26.1 textures. In OKLab, a Δ below 0.02 is barely noticeable.
