bates numbering pdf
Switch on the Bates numbering layer, type the prefix and the start number, and every page in scope receives its code. It is the kind of marking used to cite pages precisely in filings, expert reports and audits.
42 padded with zeros to 6 digits.
The suffix goes after the counter.
It never truncates the number.
The count starts at the first page of the scope.
Courier is 6 pt per character at that size, 11 characters.
Turn on Skip the first page. The cover stays unnumbered and the second page gets the start number (1 by default). The total "of N" follows: in a 10-page PDF, page 2 comes out as "Page 1 of 9" and page 10 as "Page 9 of 9". If you would rather have the second page show "2", set the start number to 2; the total becomes 10.
The page number is the order within one document and can skip the cover. Bates is a unique identifier of the whole set, with a prefix and zeros, and counts every page in scope. Both can be on at once.
One at a time. Number the first, note the last code, and start the second at the next number. If the files should become one, merge them first in the PDF Organizer and number the result.
It can, with a PDF editor, because it is text added on top, not a protection. It identifies pages but does not prevent changes. To guarantee integrity, use a certificate-based digital signature.
All processing happens in your browser: the PDF and the logo are never sent to a server. Closing the tab discards the open document.
