The law provides a fee-free exit for someone who must move cities by order of their employer, but it has requirements and a deadline: written notice to the landlord at least 30 days ahead. From 03/01 to 03/31 is 30 calendar days. If the other two requirements are met, the fee is waived.
03/02 plus 30 days is 04/01. Returning on 03/31, the lead time is 29 days and the exemption does not cover that date.
Without the exemption, the pro-rated fee would be 6,000 x 6/12 = 3,000. With the exemption, rent stays due until the return, but the fee does not.
Take the full agreed fee and multiply it by the fraction of the term that was still left. By months: fee times months remaining divided by the term. By days: fee times days remaining divided by the total days of the lease. With a R$ 6,000 fee on a 12-month lease and 6 months served, the fee is R$ 3,000 by months.
Not by the legal text: the sole paragraph speaks of a transfer by the employer to provide services in a location different from where the lease began. Changing jobs or cities by choice is not described there, so the pro-rated fee applies.
