secret santa without sign up
With no account and no email, the match has to live somewhere, and here it lives in the link itself. The part after the # sign exists only in the browser of whoever opens it. Here is what that guarantees and what it does not.
110 characters; the first 8 after s1= are the salt.
A short wish adds only a few dozen characters.
The server receives nothing after the #.
Each new link carries its own salt.
Paste the names, tap Draw and send each person their link by WhatsApp or text. There is no account, email or password: each match travels inside the link itself, after the #, and whoever opens it sees only their own. The draw and the links are stored only on this device so you can come back and resend.
No. You only type the names. The WhatsApp message goes out through your own app: the button opens the contact picker with the text ready, and no number goes through the tool.
At a glance, no: the name does not appear as readable text. But whoever has the link and knows the format can decode it, because there is no password. That is why a person link should never be posted in a group.
The tool strips the fragment from the address bar and from the page address it reports to Analytics as soon as it reads it, and no measurement event carries names. Even so, the original link stays in the message of whoever received it, which is outside the site control.
Nothing leaves your browser. Names and the draw are stored only on this device, and each link carries the pair inside the address, with no server.
