Create wa.me links with a pre-filled message, validate the phone number and country code, make a QR code, website button code and bulk links from a spreadsheet.
The link format is https://wa.me/ followed by the number in international format, digits only, and optional text in the text parameter, URL-encoded. The number is country code plus area code plus phone, without the + sign, leading zeros, parentheses or dashes: a Sao Paulo mobile becomes 5511912345678. The tool does that cleanup for you and accepts the way people actually type, such as (11) 91234-5678, 011 91234 5678 or +55 11 91234-5678. For Brazil the validation is strict: the area code must be one of the 67 national codes in force in Anatel's numbering plan, a mobile has 9 digits starting with 9 after the area code (a rule rolled out gradually from 2012) and a landline has 8. If the 9 is missing, we show the corrected number and a button to apply it. For other countries the only hard rule is the E.164 standard, 7 to 15 digits in total, and the tool says so instead of pretending to check every nation's numbering. Trunk zeros, like the UK's, are removed. The message accepts line breaks, emojis and WhatsApp formatting: asterisks for bold, underscores for italic, tilde for strikethrough and three backticks for monospace. Everything is converted with strict encoding (a line break becomes %0A, a space becomes %20 and accents become UTF-8 bytes), including the characters that tend to break links in HTML and Markdown. The preview shows the bubble the way the person will see it. Beyond the link you get ready-to-paste code for your website (link, styled button and floating button), Markdown and JavaScript, the QR code as PNG or SVG, and bulk generation: paste phone, name and message from a spreadsheet, use the name variable to personalize each text and download a CSV with all the links, with invalid and repeated numbers flagged. What the link does not do: it does not send the message by itself, does not work for a number without WhatsApp and does not create the wa.me/message short links from WhatsApp Business, which are made inside that app. Since everything runs in the browser, no number or message is sent to a server.
