ascendant in solar return
In the tool, the Ascendant shows in the first row of facts and in the reading title. Here is the logic behind it and the reason the birth time deserves so much care.
Midheaven at Pisces 20°50′.
Midheaven at Pisces 26°18′.
Midheaven at Pisces 29°01′.
Midheaven at Aries 7°13′.
The Ascendant has already changed sign.
It is the astrological chart of the moment the Sun comes back exactly to the position it held at your birth. It happens once a year, near your birthday, and the chart is read as the theme of the period until the next birthday. It is a symbolic technique of astrology, with no scientific evidence that it predicts events.
Almost never. The natal one depends on your birth, and the return one depends on the moment of the return and the chosen city. The tool reports which natal house the return Ascendant falls in.
Placidus by default. Under Options you can switch to whole sign or equal houses, which start from the Ascendant. At latitudes above 66° Placidus does not exist and the chart uses equal houses.
Yes, and by a lot. Each year has a different return moment, and the time moves about six hours a year, which takes the Ascendant to a different sign in almost every year.
The exact time is essential here: the rising sign changes every two hours on average.
Sky right now
The readings come from the Western astrological tradition and are symbolic. The positions of the bodies are astronomical calculation. All calculation happens in your browser. Date, time and city are not sent to any server and are kept only on this device, for the other astrology tools.
