Test headphones and speakers: left and right channel, phase, a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency sweep and bass.
This test generates tones and pink noise right in the browser and sends them to the left channel, the right, both, or both in opposite phase. That way you confirm that the headphones or speakers are wired the right way round, that the phase is coherent and how far the response goes in bass and treble, using a logarithmic sweep from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The volume starts low and every sound has a short fade in and out to avoid clicks.
