electric shower monthly cost brazil
The shower is the single heaviest item on many Brazilian bills because it combines very high power with daily use. In the tool, the Electric shower model is already on the list: adjust the minutes per day and the number of people and read the monthly amount.
R$ 0.80 tariff, 18% ICMS, 5% PIS/COFINS.
Saves R$ 42.36 a month.
Four showers add up to 40 minutes a day.
Lower power heats less and costs less.
Multiply its power in kW (watts divided by 1,000) by the hours of use per day and by the days in the month. A 5,500 W shower used 30 minutes a day for 30 days uses 5.5 x 0.5 x 30 = 82.5 kWh. For fridges and air conditioners, also multiply by the duty factor, because the compressor cycles on and off.
Ten minutes is 1/6 of an hour, so the shower uses 5.5 x (10/60) = 0.917 kWh. With the kWh at R$ 1.027 including taxes, each shower costs about R$ 0.94.
Yes, power is proportional to the heating element in use. A shower rated 3,200 W on summer and 5,500 W on winter uses about 72% more per minute of use on winter.
Only if the water stays hot enough. Lower power heats less, and the shower may get longer, which cancels the savings. Compare your real shower time before deciding.
It is on the label on the body of the appliance or on the box, in watts, usually with two lines (summer and winter). Type the winter power into the tool's Power field.

On the invoice, look for the item table with "Tarifa" and TE/TUSD per kWh, or the "Tarifa sem tributos" / "Tarifa com tributos" field. Add TE and TUSD if they are listed separately. Utility tariffs checked in 10/2026.
Model powers and hours are typical values, in the order of magnitude of efficiency labels (Procel/Inmetro) and datasheets. Edit them with the data from your appliance's label.

ICMS and PIS/COFINS vary by state, consumption band and month. The starting values (18% and 5%) are a starting point: use the percentages from your bill's tax box.
