With a Monday to Friday week and the national holidays, 2026 has 252 business days. The number changes if you treat Carnival, Corpus Christi or a state holiday as a day off. The calculator below opens on the year calendar and lets you switch each one on or off.
January loses the 1st (Thursday). February keeps 20 without Carnival, which is an optional day off.
April loses Good Friday (3rd) and Tiradentes (21st). May loses the 1st (Friday). June stays full because Corpus Christi is optional.
July has the most business days of the year (23). September loses the 7th (Monday).
November has the fewest business days (19): it loses the 2nd (Monday) and the 20th (Friday). Year total: 63 + 62 + 65 + 62 = 252.
Generally an ordinary working day: Monday to Friday that is not a holiday. The definition changes by context (bank, contract, court case), so the tool lets you set the week and the holidays.
With a Monday to Saturday week and the national holidays, 2026 has 304 business days. Choose "Mon to Sat" in the calculator settings to see the month-by-month table in that format.
It is not removed by default, since Carnival is an optional day off and not a national holiday by law. If it is a day off at your company or agency, switch the option on: in 2026 Carnival Monday and Tuesday remove 2 business days from February.
