It means taking leave on the working days between a holiday and the weekend to build a longer break. If the holiday falls on a Thursday, taking Friday gives 4 days in a row (Thursday to Sunday) for just 1 day of leave.
See the year's Brazilian holidays with weekdays, find which ones make a long weekend or a bridge day, plan your days off for the longest breaks and export to your calendar.
On a Monday-to-Friday week, a Monday or Friday holiday makes a 3-day long weekend at no cost. A Tuesday or Thursday holiday asks for a bridge: 1 extra day of leave gives you 4 days in a row. A Wednesday holiday is the most expensive, needing 2 days to reach 5. And one that lands on a Saturday or Sunday is lost: as a rule there is no day off in exchange. The tool classifies every holiday this way and, for the ones that need a bridge, shows the cheapest and the longest options. A bridge's efficiency is the ratio between days off in a row and leave days spent. In 2026, for example, taking only Friday, January 2 gives 4 days in a row from Thursday to Sunday (efficiency 4), and taking Monday, April 20 links the weekend to the Tuesday Tiradentes holiday, from Saturday 18 to Tuesday 21. With 4 leave days on December 28 to 31, the Friday Christmas links to the 2027 New Year and gives 10 days in a row, from Dec 25 to Jan 3. The planner answers the opposite question: given how much leave you have, where to spend it. It is not a heuristic: it examines every window in the year and, to split the leave into periods, uses exact dynamic programming. You choose the limit on periods and the minimum length of each. The criterion is explained inside the tool, and the result shows which days to request. National holidays follow Brazilian Laws 662/1949 and 10.607/2002, with Black Awareness Day national since 2024 (Law 14.759/2023). Carnival and Corpus Christi are optional days off (pontos facultativos), not national holidays, so they are optional here. State holidays use each state's founding date set by state law (Law 9.093/1995). Municipal holidays are not included. The state dates were checked on 2026-10-06; always confirm in your state's decree. The .ics button generates a standard calendar file (RFC 5545) with all-day events that you import into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. The events do not block your schedule. The list can also be copied as text, and the link stores year, state and options so you can share them.
Paste the code into your HTML and the tool shows up on your page, without J-Kit's navigation and ads. It still runs in the browser of whoever visits your site.
