Select Brazil in the tool to see each part of the IBAN in its own color and check how the check digits are computed. The Registry example mode shows the IBAN published for the country.
29 characters in groups of 4.
8 + 5 + 10 + 1 + 1 = 25 BBAN characters.
The mod 97 remainder of 00360305000010009795493P1BR00 is 1, and 98 minus the remainder gives 97.
Analyze mode points out the wrong length.
No. The IBANs are drawn with the country's correct structure and correct check digits, but no bank issued them. Because the number space is finite, one of them can coincide with an existing account by chance, which is why they must not go into payments, debits or real sign-ups. To test payment flows, use the sandbox IBANs your provider publishes.
29: the BR code, 2 check digits and a 25-character BBAN with an 8-digit ISPB, 5-digit branch, 10-digit account, 1-letter account type and 1 holder character.
No. The IBAN uses the 8-digit ISPB. The mapping between the 3-digit clearing code and the ISPB is in the Central Bank Pix participants list, which the site also queries in another tool.
It depends on the payer. The Brazilian IBAN exists in the SWIFT registry, but international transfers to Brazil usually quote the bank SWIFT code, branch and account. Confirm with your bank what it asks for.
Fictitious test data. These IBANs are drawn at random and have a valid format, but they belong to nobody and may coincide with a real account by chance. Do not use them for payments, real sign-ups or to deceive anyone.
