A simple receipt answers five questions: how much was paid, for what, by whom, when and where, and who signs as creditor. The generator below opens on the simple template, writes the amount in words for you, checks CPF or CNPJ numbers and warns you about anything still missing before you print.

Under art. 320 of the Brazilian Civil Code, the release states the amount and kind of the debt, the name of the debtor or of whoever paid, the time and place of payment, and carries the creditor's signature or their representative's. The sole paragraph says the release is still valid without those elements if its terms or the circumstances show the debt was paid. In practice, fill in all of them: the more complete, the fewer disputes.
