- Expected output
- STEAM_0:0:11101
N = 22202; Y = 0; Z = 11101.
convert steamid64 to steamid2
Paste the SteamID64 into the converter field and it returns both SteamID2 spellings, STEAM_0 and STEAM_1, with every step of the math open in the bit breakdown. Below is the rule to do the same by hand or in a script.
N = 22202; Y = 0; Z = 11101.
N = 123456789; Y = 1; Z = 61728394.
N = 1. Account ID 0 does not belong to a user.
N = 39734272, even.
N = 4294967295, that is, all 32 bits set.
61728394 x 2 + 1 = 123456789; plus the base.
Subtract 76561197960265728 from the SteamID64 to get the Account ID (N). Then Y is N mod 2 and Z is N divided by 2, rounded down, and the result is STEAM_X:Y:Z. Example: 76561197960287930 minus the base gives N = 22202, so Y = 0, Z = 11101 and the ID is STEAM_0:0:11101.
No. It is the same account written two ways: the first number only marks the universe, and for regular accounts both stand for the Public universe. Always compare the SteamID64 or the Account ID, which do not change.
Because Y is the lowest bit of the Account ID, that is, the remainder of division by 2. It says whether the Account ID is even or odd, and Z carries all the rest of the number.
You can, if it keeps 17 digits without rounding. Many calculators work with about 15 to 16 significant digits and spoil the result; the converter uses BigInt, which is exact.
Example loaded: replace it with the ID you want to convert.

The 64 bits, left to right: universe, type, instance and Account ID.
SteamDB and steamid.io are third-party sites. The trade link needs the partner's token to send an offer; here it only identifies the account.
