How many unemployment insurance installments can someone receive?
Between 3 and 5, under Law 13,134/2015: the minimum and maximum vary with the claim number (1st, 2nd, or 3rd onward) and with months worked in the reference period, never a fixed number equal for everyone.
Is the installment amount the same as the last salary?
No: the calculation uses the average of the last three gross wages before dismissal, not the isolated value of the last paycheck, and then applies that average to a bracket table with a floor and ceiling in force on the dismissal date.
Does someone who resigned voluntarily qualify for unemployment insurance?
No. The benefit requires a no-cause dismissal (or an equivalent, such as constructive dismissal); voluntary resignation, for-cause dismissal, and the CLT art. 484-A mutual agreement are all excluded from eligibility by Law 7,998/1990 itself.
Is there a deadline to request unemployment insurance after dismissal?
Yes: the request must be filed between the 7th and the 120th calendar day after the dismissal date; outside that window, the claim can be denied regardless of months worked or dismissal type.
