tick symbol, checkmark and tick mark to copy and paste
At least seven characters are what people call a "tick": three text check marks (✓ ✔ ☑), one emoji (✅) and three wrong marks (✗ ✘ ❌). The list below opens on the checks and crosses group: tap to copy, and use the force text option when ✔ insists on turning into an emoji.

The selector takes 3 bytes and draws nothing.
Pairs with ☐ (U+2610) in task lists.
Emoji only: the color comes from the system font.
The first is text, the second is emoji.
Click the symbol. It is copied to the clipboard and also added to the composition box. Then paste it with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac) into any field. On a phone, tap and hold the field and choose Paste.
✓ is the light text check, ✔ is the heavy one (with an emoji version) and ✅ is a pure green emoji. In a field that accepts text only, ✓ is the one that behaves most consistently everywhere.
In Word, type 2713 and press Alt+X. In Excel and Google Sheets, use =UNICHAR(10003), or paste the symbol copied from here. The Windows Alt code does not cover ✓.
The app is using a font without the Dingbats block. Change the field's font or use another character of the same group; ☑ and ✔ are usually in system fonts, but no symbol is guaranteed on every device.
