how to breed villagers minecraft
Two villagers, food and beds: that is what is missing when the hearts never show up. The tool below opens on the Breeding tab, with a step-by-step checklist and a calculation that says how many beds, how much food and how many minutes you need for the babies you want.
That is 4 rounds with a 5-minute gap between them, and the last baby grows for another 20.
Two pairs split the work: 2 rounds instead of 4.
No waiting round: the only time is growth.
Bread is worth 4 points and beetroot 1.
A single pair needs 10 rounds for 10 babies.
Food and beds stay the same; only the clock changes.
Usually 2 per level, rolled from a list of candidates without repeats. The exception is the Master librarian, which rolls 3 but only has 2 candidates (the two candles) and offers both. A villager needs 0, 10, 70, 150 and 250 total XP to reach levels 1 to 5, and it earns XP every time you use a trade.
Check three things: that both are adults and not on their work shift, that each holds 12 food points (3 bread, or 12 carrots, potatoes or beetroots) and that the bed is unclaimed, with 2 free blocks above it and within 48 blocks. Angry particles mean there is no bed; hearts mean it worked.
Twenty minutes after birth. Until then it cannot trade. Once grown it looks for an unclaimed job site block and takes its profession.
No. According to minecraft.wiki, only adult villagers breed. A zombie villager has to be cured first to become a villager again.
